MOTHERS DAY FUN

So here it is, already May and Mothers Day. and I am now 18 months old and running around having a great time. Grandma had been over to the Dallas Botanical gardens and saw a new area that they have just opened. It is called the SUMMER LAWN, and when she saw it, she got a great idea that it would be fun for all of us to go over and have a mothers day dinner on this lawn. Such fun!  I teamed up with cousin Sam right away and decided to check the whole place out!
A great tree for a little "hide and seek"
 Some yummy  smelling flowers
And a soft bed of grass to  play on, and grandma brought a big blanket for us to lay on and look at the clouds going by.

Having fun with my Aunty heather walking around , and then she even threw me up in the air. Wow, I lost my tummy when she did that!
After our mothers day dinner, we headed out to inspect  the park and had lots of fun. There is a brand new vegetable garden for us to look at

Mommy let me take off my shoes and dangle my feet in the pool, and then
We even saw a turtle who was walking right down the sidewalk
And mommy, aunty heather and grandma were having fun  checking out the park
Cousin Sam and I sitting beside George Washington, who is one of the famous sculpting in the park for the summer.  It was a fun day, and I had a fun time at our mothers day celebration!

GENNA IN HER BLUEBONNET DRESS

A beautiful young lady over at the Dallas Nature Center in her new "bluebonnet dress".  So much fun getting these photos of you Genna when you are 17 months old! A very loved little girl you are!

Grandma got you this dress over at a great  craft shop and thought it was so cute with the hand embroidered bluebonnets on it.  If course it is the little girl that makes the dress.

APRIL BLUEBONNET GIRL

So one lovely spring day, Grandma and Grandpa decided that it was the perfect day to take you out and find some beautiful bluebonnets to take a photo of you in, and of course there were lots of places to go, since it was spring in Texas! Grandma had bought you a special dress to take photos of you in, but of course we didn't have that dress with  you that day, so just had to get our of the car and take those photos anyway. Thought you might look cute in Grandma's hat, so got that out and tried it on you. Such a cutie you are, and you loved sitting in the flowers!

Trying out that 'cutie look" your mom used to have when she was posing for a photo
You and Grandpa looking cute together! Two of my favorite people!

TINY TOTS TUESDAY IN MARCH

One day in March, Grandma felt like spring was coming, and after lots of time at home after having two surgeries, decided it was time to get out and have a fun day with Grandpa and me. Anyway, she read about something called Tiny Tots Tuesdays at one of her favorite places to go, The Dallas Botanical Gardens, and off we went.
When we got there, we went right away to the garden where some nice ladies were painting cute things on all of the kids faces.  I did not know what to make of this when it was my turn, and the nice lady had to be VERY FAST AND VERY TRICKY to get me to hold still even a minute for my face painting.  She was pretty good though, and we got a pretty cute look.

They even had a little mirror that I could go over to and see how my painting "turned out". Don't i look cute.

Then we went over to the petting zoo, and i got to pet the goat and the rabbits.
I love all of the flowers too, and tried to smell a few when I wasn't Picking them. LOL

What a fun day with my grandma and grandpa. Guess they love me very much!!!! To the moon and back, for sure

SWIMMING CLASSES FOR GENNA

My Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa was swimming lessons over in Fort Worth at the Emler Swimming School. Grandma thought that this would be a great way to see some other kids as well as to begin getting some water skills.  the classes began in January 2016 when I was 14 months old and ended in June. Mommy took me every week for my classes, and lots of times grandma went along and ( guess what) took some photos of me.  I really looked forward to these classes and loved the water. I learned to put my face in the water, and to even go under the water for 6 or 8 seconds. Mommy wanted me mostly to have fun, and did not push me if I seemed scared at all. My instructors were a lot of fun and there were all sorts of fun toys to play with in t he water so that I would not be scared. They also helped me begin to learn how to pull myself up out of the water at the edge of the pool, and although I did try, need to get a little bit bigger and stronger before I can do that. Here are some shots of the fun things that I did learn, and my classes were a lot of fun . Lots more to learn, but a great start on water knowledge!

Learning to lay on my back while I am in the water

 Kick Kick Kick!!!

Had lots of fun at my swimming classes with my mommy doing a great job watching over me.

MY FIRST ROCKING CHAIR

So Genna , here you are as cute as can be just before christmas.  You have on the little outfit that your Aunty Heather got for you for Christmas and you came over for a little bit to visit grandma and grandpa.

Here you are sitting on your new Rocker.  You really made me nervous because within a few minutes of seeing this, you were standing up on the seat facing backwards and rocking way back and forth.  Such a brave girl you are, and a real climber.

Checking out everything you can find in our living room... such a cutie you are

Such cute expressions you have as you are running around. Love you to the moon and back!!
