SOME EASTER FUN WITH MY FAMILY

So just before Easter , when the Easter Bunny comes, Grammy and Mommy decided that we should go up to Waco and celebrate Easter with my big sis, and my two nieces. Grammy bought all of "us girls" really cute new Easter dresses so we would look especially cute, and off we went. We had a fun lunch out at Shmalts's, which is mommy and my big sis's favorite restaurant, and then we headed off to Cameron park for some fun time under t he big tree
Grammy brought some big blankets so we could have some time to get acquainted, and here I am with Miss Ariel Mariee who, believe it or not , is my littlest niece.  We are almost the same age... and I know we are going to be great  friends. Right now, she is almost 9 months old, and I am almost 5 months old.  This is really the first time that we have "met". Ariel is able to  sit up already by herself, and I am still needing some help

Miss Paytin, who is almost 3 years old, is a great helper with  "us smaller girls" and was helping both of us to sit still for our first photo together.  It also took a little bit of help from my mommy and big sis as the three of us were all a little bit wiggly.

Don't we all look so cute together!  I know  that as we get a little bit older, we are all going to have A LOT of fun together, and Grammy is already planning some fancy tent days.... although I am not sure what a tent is yet, I know it will be fun
Miss Paytin was really excited to get out and go swing and have a good time

Ariel and I pretty much hung out on the blankets, but before you know it, we will be out swinging too. I can hardly wait.

This just goes to show that swinging is fun at all ages, and the park even seemed to have a swing Grammys size. What fun

Here is Miss Paytin with her Gramdma who is helping her learn to swing, and by the time Ariel and I are ready to swing, Paytin will be old enough to help us learn to swing too

Meanwhile Ariel and I are back on the blanket having some fun with some of our new Easter toys

It was a pretty long day out at the park, and Ariel and I got pretty "tuckered out".  I just know we are going to have lots of fun times together

AN NEW DISCOVERY ON THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING

SO , today is the first day of spring for my very first year! So excited about this and all that I am going to learn this year.  Well I was staying at my Grammys house today while my mommy and daddy were out earning some money for all of the things that I am going to need, and Grammy noticed while I was laying in my stroller watching Veggie Tales that I was more interested in my pantleg than I was in the program., so after watching what I was doing for a few minutes, she realized that I was about to make a new discovery, and she did two things. First of all, and the most important, she want and got her NIKON and got it ready, and then she took one of my  legs out of my outfit. Well it wasn't too long until I noticed something new t hat I had never seen before, and it seemed to be attached t o me.  Well I spent at least an hour investigating this new toy, and Grammy is betting that  I will be able to find this fun item again in the future, and maybe even do a demonstration of my agility!
Grammy is having fun with being able to see these new behaviors, and thought that this was a fun one, especially since it was something new for a new season.

I know that all of these photos look about the same, but Grammy couldn't chose which one was the best, so she just put all of t hem in! Crazy Grammy

I AM FOUR MONTHS OLD

Dear Little Genevieve! It is so hard for Grammy to believe that you are already 4 months old. You are really getting much more interested in your surroundings and looking at everything. You even enjoy watching the TV and one day when you were at Grammy's house, you watched the ice capades for an hour or more and just seemed entranced by it.
You also love it when your mommy sings to you, and your little smiles just beam out. You are reaching for your toys more and when you get ahold of anything, it immediately goes straight in to your mouth.
Your smile is just so cute and very "gummy".
You have a cute little play mat both at home and at Grammys house, and you enjoy a little bit of tummy time, but still only for a short while.  You are getting very strong and holding your head up great, ,but still hard to hold your head up and also reach out for something colorful. Mommy and Daddy have gotten you a walker and you are enjoying a very short time in it, but not able to reach t he floor yet. This is something that you will grow in to very soon!

You still enjoy your swing and really like the music and watching the animals going around.  Daddy is carrying this over to Grammys on the weekends and you sometimes take a little nap in it. You are not too much of a napper, and mostly take some little short naps.
You are enjoying traveling in the car a little bit more, and seem fascinated while watching the scenery go by. ON  MARCH 12TH, you LAUGHED AND LAUGHED for the very first time. You were really giggling at grandpa.  We have all been trying to get you to laugh again, but so far you are just looking at us pretty soberly, like what is it you want???  I was so excited that your mommy was able to get a little video of that first laugh you did! A great capture! You are a very loved little girl.  You were also able to pull yourself up to a sitting position from being propped up on a pillow, and sat for a half a second before rolling on over . First thing you know you will be sitting up!

You like all of your colorful little toys, and especially the ones with mirrors on them. Something especially fun about seeing that cute baby in the mirror. All of us are having so much fun  with you and think you are a beautiful little girl!

NOW I AM THREE MONTHS OLD!

GREAT GRANDMA GENEVIEVES TEDDY BEAR WATCHING OVER ME
So since Grammy is trying to keep a real record of my first years progress , it is time for her to write another little note on all that I am doing now, and it is a lot! I am having more and more fun every day!
So i'm not sure exactly how much I weigh, but it is around 12 lbs. Growing so much and i am really enjoying my breast feeding, and  mommy laughs and says she is just like a cow, making plenty of milk for me. We do enjoy our breast feeding time together, and when mommy has to go to work, she makes sure that I have plenty of frozen milk for grandma to feed me when I am over at grammy's house when mommy and daddy go to work.
I am sleeping now all night, and everyone is so happy about that!  I am doing very well sleeping in my own crib in my own room which is so pretty and just my style. Mommy and daddy recently bought me my own changing table, and wow! Now i even have heated wipes. HOW TO SPOIL A GIRL!
I am also really smiling a lot when I see the faces of people that I love, and who  love me.  My little smile just BEAMS OUT! and of course i am as cute as can be.  When I smile, EVERYONE ELSE SMILES TOO.   I am also learning to talk a little bit with carefully dispensed "coos", and babbling sounds.  I have got some really cute expressions when I am talking and AUNTY HEATHER says that she could just sit all day and look at my face with these expressions.  Something  that everyone wants to remember forever.

I am also beginning to enjoy going on little outings.  Last week, mommy and grammy took me over to the Dallas Arboretum for a little stroller outing. Mommy made sure that I got to sit up and look around, and especially to see the water pond.  I really enjoyed seeing all that is around me, and am paying more and more attention to all that I see.

In addition to starting to talk to my friends, I am also beginning to learn to blow some tiny raspberries with my lips, and as soon as I do it, I am very pleased with my self, and then let a big smile out at whoever is around to see me practicing this.  That is a  lot of fun Grammy is pretty sure that I am going  to get better and better at  doing this stuff, especially as soon as I start eating foods, and especially spinach. That will be fun to spit out  with my raspberries.  Grammy remembers some times when my mommy practiced t hat. Especially fun when the person helping me is wearing something white.. So far though, I am very happy just having my breast milk that mommy makes especially for me, and will not be starting any new foods for awhile. All I really need now is my mommy's milk, and that is giving me all of the vitamins and stuff that I need to grow healthy and strong.

I am loving my colorful toys, and am trying my best to find out how to open my hands up so I can grab ahold of  all of those beautiful colorful butterflies and other toys. Grammy and mommy have both gotten me a floor play mat, and what fun t hat is to lay on the floor with all of those fun toys around me. I think my favorite thing to do though is to look at the baby I see in little mirrors.  She is like a little playmate to talk to.
I am liking my swing more and more every day too, and really like seeing the hippos going around in circles around me and hear the music playing. Grammy and mommy have both put some special "me music" on their phones for me to listen to, and I do like those songs and take a good nap when they are playing.
I love being in a place where I know I am a very loved little girl, and everyone is telling me that I am going to have blue eyes like my Daddy! Right now , I also even have his hair style, but I don't think that will stay the same. Definitely  looking a lot like daddy though, with a big dimple in my chin, and a very cute LITTLE ME DADDY FACE".  It is fun going on weekends to Grammy and Grampy's house too, where they both try to pamper me a lot!   They are having a lot of fun having me around as they have never had a baby living so close to them before.  So really, it is a lot of fun being THREE MONTHS OLD

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

Dear little Genevieve Grace! You are now 11 weeks old. Today you got to spend the day at Grammy's house while your mommy and daddy were at work. We had so much fun and your were so busy smiling and cooing at everyone and every thing. You are just the sweetest little girl ever!  I got  to give you a bath in my kitchen sink, and you had so much fun.  We have also been playing lots of lullabyes and you do like music. Grammy got you a new little floor mat where you can lay and look at all of your toys, and you do like it. You also spent a little bit of time watching the ice show on the TV, which you seemed to be enthralled with.  My favorite time of the day though was a little bit of time when your mommy got to stop at home in between her patients. You had a nice mommy time and got to eat and also you and mommy spent a little time together with mommy singing you a special song just for you..... YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE. You just loved it, and smiled and cooed at your mommy. Grammy just loves how much fun the two of you are having together.  It is a great big JOY to grandma.  I love you both so much!  Hard to believe that you are almost 3 months old now.

GENEVIEVE IS TWO MONTHS OLD

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BATHING BEAUTY!

Dear Little Genevieve! It is very hard to believe that you are already TWO MONTHS OLD! You are so cute and all of us just love you to bits!  You are really starting to enjoy TALKING TO US, and spend a lot of time looking at your toys, and all around you. It is pretty amazing to wonder what your eyes are seeing. You also really are starting to like some of your toys. You like your little aquarium that has the fishes going around and around. You also are enjoying some of your toys that have mirrors on them.  I think you are amazed by the reflection that you are seeing of this beautiful little girl.  Grammy got to baby sit for you when mommy and daddy went to work, and we got to visit Aunty Heather, and also Uncle Steve and cousin Sam. Aunty Heather really had fun holding you while she was in bed with her broken ankle.  Grandpa is also enjoying those sweet little butterfly kisses.  Cousin Sam thinks you are very cute too, and is enjoying giving you little kisses.
Another thing that you  really enjoy is your bath, and you already have your own little rubber ducky! This is something that I know you will be enjoying more and more as you get older.  You are a very special little girl and very loved by all of us!
