I AM 8 MONTHS OLD.

WELL! Daddy, Mommy, and Grandma and Grandpa will all tell you that I have been really changing by leaps and bounds this month, and that I am learning something new almost every single day! Last month I learned to sit up when someone sat me up, but I could not move from that place and eventually would fall over.  This month though, I really began by rolling all over the place, and began getting my legs in position to make them more handy.

All kinds of stretching around trying to find out just what these appendages would do. OK, well finally, On June 16th, I figured out at least one thing, and that was that I could sit up all by my self with out any help at all.
Even Maggie thought that was very interesting, and she was there cheering me on in her own little doggy language.

Pretty soon, I  thought it would be a fun thing to be able to sit different places and also to reach some things that were farther away. Grandma was really excited one day when she and Grandpa were having dinner with mommy and daddy. I was in the living room, and grandma thought I was trying to crawl. She kept saying come on over and see me, and then she sat one of my toys over on the other side of the room, and the first thing you know I was crawling. That first crawling day was on June 27th, and I have not stopped since.  Grandma and Grandpa were so excited to see that and they cheered me on! Daddy got such a cute video too of my first time to crawl.

Really getting around great after a few days and that prompted mommy and daddy to go out and get some safety things for our house.

On June 29th, Aunty Heather and cousin Sam came to grandma and grandpa's house and we were all invited for dinner there. I really loved seeing my cousin Sam and was a real little flirt.  I gave him so many smiles and batted my eyelashes at him every chance I got.

Cousin Sam liked me too and the first thing you know we were playing video games together.

I even got to try on his new hat! We really had fun
Another thing that I am just beginning to learn is that when mommy asks me for some sugar, she wants a big kiss, and I am trying to figure that one out. Mommy thinks that is so cute and she just loves my sugar.
When I really give some good sugar, I might even get a piggy back ride.

Another fun thing I like is to practice standing up on mommy's feet
So another big surprise, in addition to all of the other things that I have learned, today, July 7th, when grandma and mommy were talking, all of a sudden, there I was standing up and looking at them over the table. Wow! What a surprise. Grandma also thinks that I may have waved bye bye at here.... for sure I am trying!  Anyway, this has been a really busy month for me. Grandma is beginning to think and suspect that I am growing up too soon.... Sure have learned a lot this month..... and oh, one more  thing! MY FIRST TOOTH POPPED OUT ON JULY 3RD!  MY BOTTOM RIGHT TOOTH AND ALTHOUGH IT IS OUT I REALLY DON'T WANT ANYONE LOOKING AT IT OR TOUCHING IT RIGHT NOW.    WHAT A MONTH!!!!!

MY FIRST FOURTH OF JULY

This is my very first Independence Day, and my mommy bought me the cutest new dress so I would look very patriotic for the holiday. Everyone thinks that I look really cute in this, and of course they also think I am  cute in whatever I have. We had a fun holiday at our house and we even had our very own fireworks to celebrate this event. After the holiday, mommy and grandma took me over to Fort Worth  to get some special shots to remember this holiday by.  Right now, I am teething, and have just had my first tooth come in on the bottom, so I was more interested in  chewing on the flag than waving it.

i also have a new little teddy friend to match my outfit. Don't we look so cute together.

Mommy had a lot of fun with me when we went to  the Botanical Gardens in fort worth. We walked all around and even got to go out on  a boardwalk that they have just for kids. It is a place  that I am going to have lots of fun at when I get a little bit bigger.  I especially liked the bird call display, where if you push a button, you can hear all of the kinds of sounds that birds make.  I really liked the owl and was talking back very loud at all of the sounds.

My daddy and I had so much fun at our family "fireworks" in our back yard. Daddy had just as big of a smile on his face as I did. The sparklers were my very favorite.  I am a very lucky and a very much loved little girl, and these holidays are lots of fun!

I AM SIX MONTHS OLD

It is really hard to believe that I am already six  months old.  Very full of my beautiful smiles and am doing all sorts of things. My eye hand coordination is really improving a lot. When I see a toy that I want, I am getting very good at getting a  hold of it and of course, every thing I get goes straight to my mouth.  I am also reaching out for toys  that  are out of reach, and am turning over both ways in order to get what I want.  I am still more likely to turn from my tummy to my back, but can, when I want, now turn both ways. I am also scooting around on the blanket with my legs, which are getting stronger and stronger. I am still loving playing with my feet, and have a hold of at least one foot frequently. On April 30th, it was the very first day that I was able to sit balancing my self for quite a long time. I got a new toy, and it was  so interesting to look at that I forgot to fall over for a very long time.  I am sure that I am going to get better and better at this, but it is so amazing to see the world from a sitting up position.  As you can see here, I am able to hold a bottle for a little bit at least, although not taking too many bottles yet. Mommy has started trying me a little bit on some rice cereal. At first, I just let it run out of my mouth, but am starting now to "get the hang " of eating it, at least a little bit.

Mommy and Daddy say that I am really starting to "find my voice" and am calling out louder and louder, enjoying that I can make some pretty loud noises.

I am also very interested in chewing on this teething ring, and one of these days pretty soon, mommy is going to come in to get me in the morning, and I will have my first tooth coming in.

I am really getting Grampy wrapped around my little finger. He does love my little toothless smiles.

I AM SEVEN MONTHS OLD

So this has been a really big month for me and I have been doing and learning all sorts of new things. So much that grandma hardly knows where to begin. Well I am definitely trying more to talk! one day only 2 weeks ago, Daddy and I were at home and I started saying dada   dada, dada.. Daddy was so excited and kept saying are you saying "daddy".  I was, but after I fell over backwards , that was the end of that. Now am practicing new things to say, and sometimes I am pretty loudly vocal.  It won't be long though until I am saying dada again though.
I still have not gotten a new tooth, but believe you me, I am putting everything I can get my hands on in to my mouth and am sawing away on what ever gets in to my mouth. Grandma is really betting that one day soon a little tooth will pop up and surprise everyone.
I am really getting around on the floor pretty good. Right now, I am mostly rolling from one place to the other, but just recently, I have figured out how to get up on my hands and knees, especially when there is something that I want to get to in a hurry. Every once in a while, I try to lunge forward and am pretty good at landing on my face, but I am working hard to learn how to crawl.

I am even trying to stand up on my tippy toes.  I do like Maggie, and she stays pretty close to me when I am at grandma's house. She makes me giggle and giggle, and I think that she is so funny.

Maggie has been bringing me her blanket, and is so hoping that I am going to learn to play tug of war with her.

Maggie knows that she makes me laugh when she tugs at the blanket, and she can get a laugh out of me every time that she does that.  A really big belly laugh !

I was trying really hard to climb over mommy's leg, but as you can see, things didn't work quite like I thought they would.
Mommy and Daddy have been giving me all sorts of yummy new foods to try out, and I  really like trying new things. Well one day, when I first tried out bananas, I didn't like the flavor at all, but most of the things mommy gets me, I really like, and am sitting up all by myself and eating very well.s When I went to  the dr for my check up, I was already up to 17 lbs 1 ounce. My Dr said that I was doing very well!

Every day my hair is getting a little bit blonder, and guess what mommy, my eyes are still blue.... but you never know.
Mommy has also gotten me an new tommy tippee cup, and I have been trying out some new things to drink that I have never had before. Some water, and also a little bit of juices. I am doing very well with trying out my new cup.            I am also enjoying playing with my toys, and I do have a lot of them. I especially like the ones that I can get in my mouth.  I am trying very hard to pick up things between my thumb and forefinger, and mommy has gotten me some little puffs that are fun to pick up and put in my mouth for a snack. Every day I am getting better at actually getting them in to my mouth too.

I DID IT! APRIL 30, 2015

So Today is the day that I really managed to sit up all by myself, balancing for several minutes at a time. Mommy was so proud of me that she took a special blanket and we sat outside under the tree for a long time. It was a beautiful spring day and we sat outside in our very own back yard enjoying my new skill. So here I am, only 5 1/2 months old and able to sit up all by myself, at least for a little bit.  Mommy took a photo of me sitting up and sent it to grammy who was at work. Everyone is so amazed and proud of me, and the first thing you know I will be crawling all around.

WORKING HARD AT A NEW SKILL

Here I am at 5 1/2 months and working very hard at learning to sit up. Had a little help here from mommy, but this pillow sure did help. When I am laying down, I make all kinds of faces as I try to sit up. Can't do it yet, but definitely making a big effort.  Everyone also loves this big smile I have! Such a charmer!!!

A MILESTONE AT GRAMMY'S HOUSE

WELL grammy is very excited that when you came over for a little while today you turned over for the first time ever.... from your tummy to your back!  I had you down on the floor for some "tummy time" and sat lots of toys all around you just out of your reach. You kept scooting around on the blanket to see each toy better, and grammy was teasing you saying turn over turn over. Grammy will give you a dollar if you do it! All of a sudden..... over you went. You had a surprised look on your face to find your self in a changed position. Sorry I missed making a movie of you turning, but I did get a shot of your expression. 5:20 pm exactly when you first did this! Bet you will be doing it a lot in a few days.
HOW  DID I GET HERE???
