BACK TO THE ZOO

 In August , Miss Paytin came to visit for the weekend and Mommy, Grandma, Paytin and I went to the zoo. This was my second trip to the zoo and I was such a good girl. Grandma brought along a cold rag to keep us cool as it was a very hot day.  I had fun though and was a very good girl! We saw lots of the animals and even some animal babies.  It was also my very first day to  ride on the train and also the Merry Go Round.  I really had a lot of fun riding on my horse for the Merry go Round and held on just like I was supposed to. There were so many new things to see here and it kept me busy looking all around. Grandma got me a little stuffed frog at the gift shop and I talked to it all of the way home after our zoo trip. What a fun day!!!

ANOTHER MILESTONE

Grandma just could not pass up the opportunity to say that my THIRD TOOTH, popped out on the top right side on August 21st.  The better to eat this good food with. Growing every day!

I AM NINE MONTHS OLD

This has been another very busy month for me with lots of new happenings.  For a few days I was pretty cranky, and then about the 3rd  of July, mommy finally found that  my very first tooth had broken through. This was followed by my second tooth which came through on July 18th.  I didn't want to show them to anyone, but finally grandma got a photo of me with my teeth showing. Aren't they cute?  I sure do know how to use them too!

I love it when mommy, daddy or grandma read me stories.  I really pay attention, and start looking at the pages as soon as story time starts.   I am loving my books. Grandma got me a story that has finger puppets and is about OLD MCDONALD.  I just giggled and giggled when I heard this story. Such a cute sound to hear!

I am really enjoying my foods. Mommy and daddy have introduced so many yummy foods to my list of foods, and I am very good at picking them up and getting them right in to my mouth.  I am enjoying lots of vegetables, fruits and especially love my fresh blueberries cut in half.  I was 27 inches tall when I went to see my dr, and 18 lbs.  How I have grown.  Mommy also has gotten me some new cups with a soft straw and I really do a great job drinking from them.  Mommy and I are still nursing, but when that ends, I will be doing great with my cups.   I do enjoy meal time!

Last month I was just learning to crawl, and stand up and move a tiny bit around the furniture. This month I have moved well past that !  I am crawling all around my house as fast as I can, and of course I pass right by my toys and investigate every thing that I shouldn't be looking at.... boxes, phones, and even electric outlets. Mommy and Daddy have to watch me all of the time.  Now, on  August 18th, I surprised everyone by learning the first steps of climbing.  Mommy said "OH LORDY"  This toy I am standing on is helping me learn to walk too. I already stood up and held on to the handle and walked across the room with it to Daddy. Grandma bets that by the time I am 10 months old, I will be walking by myself.  Definitely like standing up higher though on things so I can see better what to get in to. I also am now learning to wave BYE BYE when I feel like it, and also clap my hands together.  I know this means YAY! and do it when I am pleased with myself. MISS PERSONALITY.

Mommy and Grandma took my niece Paytin and I to the zoo and I had such a good time. Here we are sitting up on the big turtle.  I was so good and wore my new little top which has gold turtles on it. Paytin is a very good helper and made sure I didn't fall off of the turtle. We girls had fun , and I enjoy going every where , and am a very good rider in my car seat, talking all of the way and babbling. Can even do a a little singing when my favorite songs are on.  I have also started dancing a little to the songs, and more to come. I do like my music. Everyone thinks I am the best little girl EVER!
