I AM 8 MONTHS OLD.

WELL! Daddy, Mommy, and Grandma and Grandpa will all tell you that I have been really changing by leaps and bounds this month, and that I am learning something new almost every single day! Last month I learned to sit up when someone sat me up, but I could not move from that place and eventually would fall over.  This month though, I really began by rolling all over the place, and began getting my legs in position to make them more handy.

All kinds of stretching around trying to find out just what these appendages would do. OK, well finally, On June 16th, I figured out at least one thing, and that was that I could sit up all by my self with out any help at all.
Even Maggie thought that was very interesting, and she was there cheering me on in her own little doggy language.

Pretty soon, I  thought it would be a fun thing to be able to sit different places and also to reach some things that were farther away. Grandma was really excited one day when she and Grandpa were having dinner with mommy and daddy. I was in the living room, and grandma thought I was trying to crawl. She kept saying come on over and see me, and then she sat one of my toys over on the other side of the room, and the first thing you know I was crawling. That first crawling day was on June 27th, and I have not stopped since.  Grandma and Grandpa were so excited to see that and they cheered me on! Daddy got such a cute video too of my first time to crawl.

Really getting around great after a few days and that prompted mommy and daddy to go out and get some safety things for our house.

On June 29th, Aunty Heather and cousin Sam came to grandma and grandpa's house and we were all invited for dinner there. I really loved seeing my cousin Sam and was a real little flirt.  I gave him so many smiles and batted my eyelashes at him every chance I got.

Cousin Sam liked me too and the first thing you know we were playing video games together.

I even got to try on his new hat! We really had fun
Another thing that I am just beginning to learn is that when mommy asks me for some sugar, she wants a big kiss, and I am trying to figure that one out. Mommy thinks that is so cute and she just loves my sugar.
When I really give some good sugar, I might even get a piggy back ride.

Another fun thing I like is to practice standing up on mommy's feet
So another big surprise, in addition to all of the other things that I have learned, today, July 7th, when grandma and mommy were talking, all of a sudden, there I was standing up and looking at them over the table. Wow! What a surprise. Grandma also thinks that I may have waved bye bye at here.... for sure I am trying!  Anyway, this has been a really busy month for me. Grandma is beginning to think and suspect that I am growing up too soon.... Sure have learned a lot this month..... and oh, one more  thing! MY FIRST TOOTH POPPED OUT ON JULY 3RD!  MY BOTTOM RIGHT TOOTH AND ALTHOUGH IT IS OUT I REALLY DON'T WANT ANYONE LOOKING AT IT OR TOUCHING IT RIGHT NOW.    WHAT A MONTH!!!!!

MY FIRST FOURTH OF JULY

This is my very first Independence Day, and my mommy bought me the cutest new dress so I would look very patriotic for the holiday. Everyone thinks that I look really cute in this, and of course they also think I am  cute in whatever I have. We had a fun holiday at our house and we even had our very own fireworks to celebrate this event. After the holiday, mommy and grandma took me over to Fort Worth  to get some special shots to remember this holiday by.  Right now, I am teething, and have just had my first tooth come in on the bottom, so I was more interested in  chewing on the flag than waving it.

i also have a new little teddy friend to match my outfit. Don't we look so cute together.

Mommy had a lot of fun with me when we went to  the Botanical Gardens in fort worth. We walked all around and even got to go out on  a boardwalk that they have just for kids. It is a place  that I am going to have lots of fun at when I get a little bit bigger.  I especially liked the bird call display, where if you push a button, you can hear all of the kinds of sounds that birds make.  I really liked the owl and was talking back very loud at all of the sounds.

My daddy and I had so much fun at our family "fireworks" in our back yard. Daddy had just as big of a smile on his face as I did. The sparklers were my very favorite.  I am a very lucky and a very much loved little girl, and these holidays are lots of fun!

I AM SIX MONTHS OLD

It is really hard to believe that I am already six  months old.  Very full of my beautiful smiles and am doing all sorts of things. My eye hand coordination is really improving a lot. When I see a toy that I want, I am getting very good at getting a  hold of it and of course, every thing I get goes straight to my mouth.  I am also reaching out for toys  that  are out of reach, and am turning over both ways in order to get what I want.  I am still more likely to turn from my tummy to my back, but can, when I want, now turn both ways. I am also scooting around on the blanket with my legs, which are getting stronger and stronger. I am still loving playing with my feet, and have a hold of at least one foot frequently. On April 30th, it was the very first day that I was able to sit balancing my self for quite a long time. I got a new toy, and it was  so interesting to look at that I forgot to fall over for a very long time.  I am sure that I am going to get better and better at this, but it is so amazing to see the world from a sitting up position.  As you can see here, I am able to hold a bottle for a little bit at least, although not taking too many bottles yet. Mommy has started trying me a little bit on some rice cereal. At first, I just let it run out of my mouth, but am starting now to "get the hang " of eating it, at least a little bit.

Mommy and Daddy say that I am really starting to "find my voice" and am calling out louder and louder, enjoying that I can make some pretty loud noises.

I am also very interested in chewing on this teething ring, and one of these days pretty soon, mommy is going to come in to get me in the morning, and I will have my first tooth coming in.

I am really getting Grampy wrapped around my little finger. He does love my little toothless smiles.
